Hoi An is a truly magical destination drawing visitors from around the globe.Each month the town holds its famous Full Moon Festival, celebrated on the 15th of the lunar calendar. 
 
For the locals the festival is to honor the ancestors with offerings. In the ancient town during the evening of the Full Moon Festival the lanterns shine brighter than on other days as the artificial lights will be turned off and all the colours bring a magical light and atmosphere. 
 
Enjoy a walk along the Thu Bon River and release a paper lantern for good luck.
